Our Partnership with Soles4Souls®
By Cam White

We have had the honor of working with Soles4Souls since Hurricane Ike struck Texas. Within 10 days after Ike made landfall, we collected almost 3,000 pairs of new and gently worn shoes and shipped them to Soles4Souls. At the same time, Soles4Souls distributed 300,000 pairs of brand new, unworn shoes, donated by shoe manufacturers, to Ike survivors.

The earthquake in Haiti has left the poor island nation in ruins. Soles4Souls responded immediately, dispatching 30 containers packed with shoes, tents, blankets, duffel bags food and water. Within 1 week of this disaster, the much needed supplies to begin the relief effort is arriving in Haiti and the shoes and supplies are being distributed.

Soles4Souls Provides Relief in Austin

But the story gets better. While we were swamped sorting and packing 4 tons of shoes in our store, Soles4Souls quietly arrived in town in a 34 foot RV and distributed 1,000 pairs of brand-new, unworn shoes to Austin's homeless and poverty-stricken citizens at St. Mary's Cathedral on MLK day.  It gave me chills that they were helping out Austin while we were helping the people of Haiti.

A Video "Thank You" to Austin from Soles4Souls after the Hurricane Ike Shoe Drive

I met with David and Pattie Graben from Soles4Souls at the Pedorthic Footwear Association Conference in Nashville last year. Pattie is our liaison at Soles4Souls. Here's a quick video of David and Pattie giving Austin, Z-CoiL and Total Relief Footwear a "shout-out" of thanks for helping Soles4Souls change lives one pair at a time.
