To help Central Texans enjoy more active lives by reducing foot, leg and back pain. Our goal is to change lives by providing the best solutions to reduce the pain associated with long hours of standing or any painful condition affecting the feet, ankles, knees hip or back joints.

Pain is very easy to measure on a scale of 1 to 10. If you have mild, nagging or severe pain - we have a solution to help you feel much better.

Our Promise
If we can't make a noticable, substantial difference in reducing your pain, we won't sell our footwear. We take your pain seriously, and we have better than a 90 percent success rate in greatly reducing the pain suffered by our customers. If we can't make a difference in your pain, we will make every effort to refer you to an alternate solution or health professional that may be able to help you. We want you to feel better. It's the right thing to do, and we stand behind our promise.

I walked out of the store pain-free, and am still pain-free! Instead of a negative cycle of pain, diminished activity and weight gain, I got into a positive life cycle of comfort, weight loss and physical fitness. I lost 33 pounds, joined a marathon training program, and walked the AT&T Austin Marathon in Feb 2007. It felt so wonderful, and I could not have accomplished it without my Z-CoiL shoes! Our Story

In 2002, store owners Celia Tellez and Cam White moved to Austin from the Washington, DC area. Both were looking for a new career that would be personally rewarding and meaningful.

Celia had over 20 years of retail management experience, often working 80-90 hours a week on hard mall floors. "If I worked only 70 hours, I felt like a wimp.", remarks Celia. The years of working on punishing surfaces destroyed her feet. She developed plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, Morton's neuromas, stress fractures and soft tissue damage in both feet.

Thousands of dollars were spent on custom orthotics, cortisone injections and a wide variety of comfort shoes - but nothing worked. Just when she was at the end of her rope she saw a woman wearing a pair of strange looking shoes with coils on them. The woman said "These shoes changed my life" and she let Celia try them on. For the first time in a year, Celia didn't have any pain in her feet.

Celia's husband, Cam was battling with his own health issues. Cam was battling with obesity and was having difficulty losing weight. At 280 pounds, it was very painful to walk for exercise. "My knees and ankles felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife." says Cam. He tried on the Z-CoiL shoes and the pain disappeared in his knees and ankles. Cam has since lost 65 pounds and continues working on a regular program of exercise, coupled with better eating decisions.

Celia and Cam opened Total Relief Footwear in February 2004. We have had the privilege of helping over 10,000 Central Texans suffering from a wide variety of foot, leg and back pain conditions. They originally carried only Z-CoiL shoes, but have recently broadened their offerings with athletic, casual, dress and safety shoes from some of the best footwear manufacturers in the industry.
