Tenevis Selects Total Relief Footwear as the Official Launch Site for New Footwear Brand

We have been patiently waiting for these shoes to arrive in the USA since we first discovered them at the WSA show last August. Tenevis shoes were designed, engineered and patented in South Korea, which has become the hub for new innovations in comfort footwear technology. Z-CoiL®, MBT®, Ryn® and many other comfort shoe technologies have their roots in Korean design and manufacturing. The Korean manufacturing partners at WSA allowed us to take a few trial pairs back to the store, and the feedback from our customers was overwhelmingly positive. Many woman tried to bribe us to sell them the "test" pair.
Tenevis produced a limited production run of about 2,000 pairs for the US market, which arrived last month. I call this a "proof of concept" production run. Shoes have been flying off the shelves, and Tenevis has been the fastest selling brand we have seen in our store since we launched the fitflop® a couple of years ago. The initial production run of Tenevis shoes will probably be sold-out within a month, but a large shipment of shoes is being planned in time for December/January delivery, including several new styles. Tenevis will grow like wildfire across the United States next year. We currently have about 120 pairs of Tenevis shoes in stock, but they are selling at a very fast pace. We would like to extend special thanks to Dan and Machelle McCarthy for coming to Austin for the Official Tenevis Launch Party last weekend. Dan is a Principal with Tenevis North America, and the Creative Director for the brand. With over 13 years of product management and design experience with giant US shoe manufacturers, Dan is responsible for the attractive design of these shoes. His wife, Machelle is a personal fitness trainer, and provides one-on-one personal training services in Carlsbad, California. Both Dan and Machelle were extremely impressed with the turnout at the National Launch Party. Dozens of customers tried on the Tenevis shoes and walked out with a pair. Free gift bags, loaded with goodies from Avon, Curves, Austin Adventure Boot Camp and Ameribag. were distributed to the first 50 people purchasing the shoes. We would like to thank everyone for their gift bag contributions. We would also like to thank Ashley, Susan and Nelda from the Hensley Wellness Center for providing chair and foot massage services during the party. At the end of the party, Dan, Machelle, Celia and I shot a video introducing Tenevis footwear:

Calling all Birkenstock® lovers! Oetzi3300® shoes are hip, trendy and upbeat shoes with the very familiar feeling of moldable cork footbeds. These unique shoes are currently sold in upscale boutiques in New York and Beverly Hills. Total Relief Footwear will be the first store in Texas to carry this new exciting brand. A small opening order (a "fitting run" will be arriving mid-next week in women's sizes 6-11 and men's sizes 9-12.
Austin is built for this kind of shoe. They are weird, funky and massively comfortable. There are plenty of styles available, but we are bringing 2 of their most popular styles to gauge interest. Stop in next week and let us know what you think. If you are a nurse and love your Birkenstock sandals, there's an all-white leather shoe for you that we can bring in. Most Oetzi3300 shoes are priced between $115 - $160, depending on the style.
So, what's up with the Oetzi3300 name? Oetzi was the name given to the perfectly preserved, mummified man found in the Alps in the 1980s. Carbon dating showed that he lived in 3300 B.C. The man was found wearing clothing and shoes. He also had arthritis and a unique tattoo, which has become the logo for the brand. Brad Pitt actually sports the same tattoo, and when Jennifer Aniston saw the same symbol on the Oetzi3300 shoes while shopping in Beverly Hills, she had to buy a pair. She has since been seen bopping around in her Oetzis.
At Total Relief Footwear, we are constantly looking for new shoes that are fun, active and above all - comfortable. We have a hunch that Oetzi3300 will be a welcome addition to our collection.

We are delighted to announce a party showing a beautiful collection of hand-woven shawls by Pat Pound, a good friend and a very special customer at Total Relief Footwear. Pat served as the Executive Director of the Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities. Now retired, Pat has focused her attention on a special passion of hers - weaving.
Pat was born with poor sight, and became completely blind at an early age. Her spirit and passion for life is obvious when you meet her. She routinely travels the country and speaks at conferences on issues for people with disabilities. When it comes to weaving, Pat evaluates the textures and colors of yarns by "feel", sets up her loom, and produces stunning works of art. Each shawl has vibrant color patterns, unique designs and are luxuriously soft. Her work will be available for viewing and for sale at Total Relief Footwear on Saturday, September 18. Save the date. Her story is inspirational and her craftsmanship is impeccable. More details to come soon.
